Rebecca Kneubuhl and Gabriel Mann write music for film, television, video games, and pretty much all other visual media. And non-visual media. Their first collaborative score was for Crash Twinsanity, Vivendi-Universal's recent installment about a nutty bandicoot. As far as we know, this is the first (and perhaps only) entirely a cappella video game score. On the opposite side of the musical spectrum, the composers scored Spyro: A New Beginning, an epic adventurous orchestral and choral masterwork. It's huge, and not funny, like the Crash stuff is. Reviews of Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning have been singling out the score as the best part of the game. Which sounds backhanded, but really, it's good.

Previous projects include the award-winning No One Lives Forever series of games, for which Becky wrote a 60's-inspired spy lounge fest and Gabriel remixed into James Bond meets Chemical Brothers dance tracks.

The duo are truly tag-team composers – they trade licks like dueling lead guitarists, finishing one another's musical sentences and cranking out the jams all the live-long day, at least, when they're not looking themselves up on Google or playing internet boggle. Musical influences (in no particular order) include, but are not limited to: Tool, Randy Newman, Igor Stravinsky, Elvis Costello, George Crumb, Stan Getz, Arvo Pärt, & Elliott Goldenthal.

Both Kneubuhl and Mann live and work in Los Angeles, with three daughters between them, but not together. That is, they work together, but not in that way.

Rebecca is a classically trained pianist and composer with a degree in Music Composition from the University of Southern California. In addition to writing lots of music, she regularly contributes vocals to television shows, movies and videogames. Rebecca also co-owns Asylum Recording Studios, a commercial recording facility which has produced award-winning albums and game scores. She is currently a member of the internationally renowned All Saint's Choir of the Beverly Hills Episcopal Church.

Mann's musical journey began as choir leader at his cantor-father's synagogue in San Antonio, Texas. After matriculating from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Music Composition, he attended USC's Film Scoring Program and joined Spiralmouth, the award-winning a cappella band, where he and Rebecca met. Gabriel is also a singer/songwriter whose music has been featured in many television shows, films, and video games. He recently returned from a European tour opening for Alanis Morissette, and has also supported Glenn Tillbrook, Jesse McCartney, Jamie Cullum, and the Rolling Stones on the road.
